Her experience as president of an established salt mining company owned by her father, and later, in
an entrepreneurial husband/wife partnership in the adventure travel industry, has endowed Ms. Zalman
with both sensitivity and pragmatism. Her insight into the workings of the business world enables her
to focus logically and unemotionally on the business of the business and to bring a level of common
sense to the most rancorous discussions. Her non-judgmental approach to the all too human issues of
loss and envy make it possible to reach resolution. The combination is uniquely present in the
integrated, multidisciplinary approach she brings to managing change in family business—the
hallmark of Zalman Family Business Solutions.
Ms. Zalman’s areas of expertise include positions in sales and marketing as well as strategic planning and implementation. Her academic credentials enhance this practical business experience. A graduate of Briarcliff College she received her Master’s in Organizational Psychology from Columbia University, where she is also a frequent lecturer. She consults to The Citibank Private Bank and conducts seminars with Citibank, the Investment Management Institute and the Institute for International Research on the topics related to wealth and families. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Small & Family Business Foundation. Her private practice includes family-owned businesses in the greater metropolitan New York and Washington areas. back to top |
